Lightwave3D users prefered but users of any high-end, 3D software will be accepted, so long as you can export the models in .obj format. There will be minimal texturing with most surfaces only requiring base colours. Some models may require UV maps but nothing too complicated.
The job is for a picture dictionary (i.e each word needs a coresponding image), so content will be extremly varied. There are 750 illustrations needed in total (distributed amongst all successfull applicants) with a deadline end of November.
The look of the illustations need to have a degree of stylisation to them but for consistency, all successfull applicants will be provided with pencil sketches of each object to work to. The sketch will need to be adhered to as closely as possible for style, pose and composition.
Budget is based on a per-object basis rather than per hour. Each freelancer will be paid a flat rate of £16per completed model. Some models are likely to be extremely simple polyogonal objects while others may require some organic characeter modelling, but they will hopefully average out at between 30mins-2hrs work for each.
Applicants will need to show examples of their work with either links to online portfolios or 1 or 2 attached images. Short-listed applicants may well be asked to provide a sample specific to this project as a demonstation of the required modelling skills.
Freelancers that are available full-tim would be most beneficial but I will also accept part time availability too. |
