We are currently in the process of setting up a website containing funny spoof news stories.
We need contributors who can write funny pieces in a newspaper article format.
We're not looking for hardcore news satire, or articles aimed at people with an unhealthily in-depth knowledge of current events, but topical humour is appreciated (but not obligatory).
We are big fans of The Daily Mash so it's worth checking out their website for examples of the kind of thing we're looking for. Absurd, fun, silly news-style humour. Suggested length is 100-500 words, but this is really down to you and what works for the article.
Initially, we can only offer £1 for each article that we use, but once we find a small team of writers who produce really funny, top-quality content, we will be increasing this.
Please feel free to ask any questions, and to send in your articles for consideration as soon as possible.
We are not looking to read job aplications or CVs! You will be chosen purely on the quality and humour of your articles. Send in as many or as few as you like, they will all be considered.
