date posted 7/7/2010 Web designer and developer required to design and create rich, interactive content for mobile devices. Content will be delivered to a narrow range devices only allowing the successful applicant to concentrate on creating superb graphics and interaction rather than platform or browser quirks.
Applicants will need to be experienced with HTML5 technologies, and will need to really 'get' CSS3 and truly understand Javascript. You will be producing media for use in applications on resource-limited, mobile devices where there isn't always the room, or time, for JS libraries to soften the development. Applicants will be experienced using the debugging and sampling tools found in the latest versions of webkit browsers and proficient with graphics applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator… etc.
The successful applicant will be interested in user experience, interface illustration and strong typography and will be obsessed with detail.
Good communication skills are needed to work to briefs with deadlines and work effectively with the small software production team. This position would suit a recent graduate or college-leaver with some experience of web development technologies.
