Animatorcontact info@curriculum-press.co.uk location Anywhere date posted 8/11/2009 Curriculum Press is developing a range of Primary school resources that are creative, inventive and unique. We need the help of inspired and original animators to complement our exceptional writing team. We seek a long term relationship with a talented team who can work on many projects over the coming years.
The initial project is a creative writing resource that, with the right animation, will inspire children to craft stories based on the images/animation they see.
Picture the scene; what the teacher introduces is a castle scene with flags waving in the rich blue sky and armour - clad soldiers parading the castle’s turrets; what the child sees is a moving animation that changes at their command. As the child moves the mouse towards the drawbridge, it opens to reveal the inner castle with jesters and other castle related folk. Move towards the characters and they speak or make movements that inspire further creative thoughts. Perhaps flaming arrows suddenly fly into the courtyard or a question is asked of the intruding child. What happens largely depends on what stock animations are available - we don't have a big budget to commission new animations so we need either creative use of stock animations or a super-budget approach to new animations.
We already have 31 static psd scenes created that meet the needs of the Primary curriculum ranging from stories in a familiar shop-front setting to a Victorian street scene. We are lacking the visually creative ideas that only high quality, imaginative and unique animating teams can bring. Each of our 31 scenes requires at least three options for children to explore. If they turn left, one thing happens, turn right and another unexpected result occurs. Go straight on and who knows what will happen! And that’s where you come in.
Max Budget £2000.00 Target spend ££1200.00 - 1500.00 |
